Terms & Conditions of Trade

Lato Est Windows

These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotes, orders, supply, delivery and installation of aluminium windows, doors, glass products and related services provided by Lato Est Windows (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By accepting a quote or placing an order, you (“the client”) agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Quotes & Pricing

  • All quotes are estimates only and are not invoices.

  • Quotes are based on information provided by the client, including plans, reveal sizes, window schedules and energy ratings.

  • Quotes remain valid for the period stated on the quote unless otherwise specified.

  • Any inaccuracies in measurements, documentation or site information may result in a revised quote.

2. Documentation & Measurements

  • The client is responsible for providing accurate plans, reveal sizes and energy ratings prior to quoting.

  • Drawings supplied by manufacturers or suppliers may be used where available.

  • Hand-drawn diagrams may be provided for clarification purposes only.

  • All drawings included with a quote are indicative only and provided for quoting purposes.

  • Final check measurements will be completed (where applicable) before fabrication.

3. Variations & Changes

  • Any changes to the scope of works, materials, dimensions or specifications after quoting may result in a variation and additional costs.

  • No changes can be accepted once materials have been ordered or fabrication has commenced.

  • Variations must be approved in writing and may affect lead times.

4. Payment Terms

  • A 50% deposit is required prior to ordering materials.

  • The remaining 50% balance is payable on arrival or prior to delivery of goods.

  • No fabrication or ordering will commence until the deposit has been received.

  • All payments must be made in accordance with the payment details provided on the invoice or quote.

5. Lead Times & Scheduling

  • Lead times commence after receipt of deposit and final check measure (where applicable).

  • Current estimated lead time is approximately 8–10 weeks, subject to supplier availability, fabrication schedules and external factors.

  • Lead times are estimates only and may vary due to manufacturing delays, material availability, weather conditions or circumstances outside our control.

  • We will notify the client once fabrication is complete and delivery or installation can be scheduled.

6. Delivery & Logistics

  • All products are delivered directly to the nominated site address.

  • The client must ensure clear and safe access for delivery vehicles at the time of delivery.

  • Delivery dates will be advised once fabrication is complete.

  • Onsite storage of products is the responsibility of the client unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • We are not responsible for damage to products caused by third parties or site conditions after delivery.

7. Installation (Where Applicable)

  • Installation timeframes are estimates and may be affected by weather, site access or unforeseen conditions.

  • The client must ensure the site is ready and accessible at the scheduled installation time.

  • Any delays caused by restricted access or incomplete site preparation may result in additional costs.

8. Risk & Damage

  • Risk in the goods passes to the client upon delivery to site.

  • Care will be taken during delivery and installation; however, we are not responsible for damage caused by other trades, site conditions or post-installation works.

9. Warranties

  • Manufacturer warranties apply to supplied products in accordance with supplier terms.

  • A workmanship warranty applies to installation services provided by us.

  • Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, modifications, impact, or works performed by others.

10. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or fabrication has commenced.

  • Orders cannot be cancelled once fabrication has begun.

11. Limitation of Liability

  • To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the supply of goods or services again or the cost of having them supplied again.

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
